Welcome to the new digital only version of the Gooner Fanzine solely dedicated to covering the Arsenal Women's team.

We've been busy burning the midnight oil to over the last few months to ensure an idea became reality, with the launch of our digital only (ie not print) version of the Gooner Fanzine that will focus only on all things Arsenal Women.

To say we've been busy is an understatement, so I have to say a massive thank you to our brilliant Gooner team.

Firstly, resident production genius Serge Braga-Mullin, without whose flair, creativity, and hard work the Gooner simply wouldn't happen, in print, digital or otherwise.

Such has been our tight schedule, Serge and I worked putting the finishing touches to this digital issue during my six hour train journey from Dortmund to Munich, culminating in thee most surreal Zoom call from my hotel room in Munich a mere three hours before kick-off as we had one final run through, before I raced to the Alianz Arena to cover the game.

I would also like to thank Freddie Cardy, without whose exceptional work ethic, boundless energy and excellent ideas - not to mention outstanding copy editing - this digital issue simply wouldn't have moved from a concept to the proud reality it has become.

Thanks also to AST, AISA and Raymond James, who without hesitation, came on board immediately for this exciting project.

In its near 40 year history the Gooner Fanzine has always been proud of the platform we have offered budding Arsenal writers - and our digital only women's issue is still further evidence of this.

We're so excited to have brilliant writers on board such as Claudia Loy, Nagore Dominguez, Suzy Lycett, Daisy Goodhand, Sarah Pollard, Rhys Webb, Jamie Spangher, Liberty Simons - not to mention our exclusive interview with the brilliant Meg Lay.

Through plenty of our hard work, we've managed to make a dream a reality today - we've got the platform in place, we've got a squad of absolutely outstanding Arsenal Women's writers - and now all we need are readers.

If you'd like to advertise or be associated with this publication in future issues please do get in touch - or if you'd like your writing to be considered for our platform, or if you'd simply like to provide feedback then we'd love to hear from you.

So, please feel to click below into the first issue of what we hope will be the Gooner Fanzine's many FREE digital only Arsenal Women's issues.

Please note to all our loyal print subscribers this does not impact on our printed version in any way.

This is a pilot issue focussing only on Arsenal Women - and hopefully if all goes well we will run four digital issues on Arsenal Women next season alongside our six printed issues of the Gooner Fanzine - absolutely nothing changes with our printed effort.

We hope you enjoy the first issue of the Gooner Fanzine's Arsenal Women's digital issue
