Prologue

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal make the short trip up the Seven Sisters Road to bitter rivals on Sunday, knowing that anything other than a victory at the home of their most-hated adversaries will be enough to keep their title bid on track.

The Gunners will be bidding to consolidate their place at the top of the Premier League table when they face Tottenham Hotspur in this eagerly-awaited North London derby.

Arteta's table toppers will arrive in N17 in good spirits having dismantled fellow London rivals Chelsea, 5-0 in midweek to post their biggest ever victory over the Blues - with Ben White and Kai Havertz's doubles added to Leandro Trossard's early goal.

However, there is also is plenty at stake for Ange Postecoglu's Lilywhites, as Spurs aim to chase down a six-point deficit to Aston Villa in the hunt for the final Champions League place.

Form

Postecoglou's side have had 15 days to recover from their embarrassing 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Newcastle - and it will be interesting to see if and that freshness could prove to be a benefit or a hindrance as they face battled hardened Arsenal who have played four games in the samwe time framce

Spurs' attacker Son Heung-min grabbed a pair in last September's reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium, when the two teams played out an entertaining 2-2 draw - however Postecoglu's South Korean attacker has failed to finf the net in his last three outings.
