Re: Fulham FP H Sat 26th August KO 3pm

Only one person can be blamed here. Arteta. His ego is costing us and that was what cost us so dearly during the last decade of Wenger's reign: the manager's ego. :| At home to ten man relegation fodder and lucky not to lose 2-3. Unacceptable. :censored: And it would have been a loss to their only ...

Re: Getting tickets

Due to KO time and wanting to see my new Clock End season ticket, I went into the ground when all the promotional beer offers were on. Was surprised that early the amount of people that were in. If only they had a decent selection of beers in the ground, would do this more often. Scanned in no both...

Re: Getting tickets

From Arsenal Thank you once again for your patience on Saturday which saw delays at the turnstiles at our opening Premier League match of the season at Emirates Stadium. We have completed our investigation into the cause of the problem and can confirm that a small number of technology infrastructure...

Re: Getting tickets

That was even more of a shambles than I expected. Complete failure of the system for a while followed by failure to accept a lot of people's tickets. Those people were then let in manually, but have potentially been marked absent when it comes to the required attendance figure. Person next to me wen...

Re: Getting tickets

You're right. Ignore me. I made the mistake of looking at the Arsenal fixtures list, but I should have known from the kick-off time.

Re: Getting tickets

The Forest game is not on TV. At least not in the UK.

Re: Getting tickets

The other comical moment was when he tried to argue that using mobile phones made it quicker to enter. Anyway, I have sent the Forest game to myself and printed out a paper ticket in my name. A hassle, but hopefully less hassle than queuing up on the day. It seems other clubs are going digital only ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

Arteta is undoubtedly an improvement on Emery. I don't imagine he will last that long though.

Re: Getting tickets

Had another chat about this with Arsenal. Season ticket holders are not considered a problem for ticket touting, so the ability to transfer to someone else who gets a printable ticket will remain in place. Season ticket holders can't have physical tickets, because the stadium is digital only now. I ...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

The first four years after Wenger left were pretty bleak. Wenger's most obvious contribution in that period was a club in a sufficiently strong position financially that could it buy expensive players. The players also got to play on a beautiful pitch in a very nice stadium. Saka and ESR came throug...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

I don't think Arsenal would be the club it is today if Wenger had left 10 years earlier. I know many people disagree - or argue the club would be much better off.

Would that include when the Fans were Fighting One Another in the Ground and when there were Protests to get him sacked?
I think all that stuff has been discussed to death.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD

I'm guessing this won't be popular, but I'd have liked a plaque to go on the wall somewhere in honour of Wenger (copied from Sir Christopher Wren's)

"If you are looking for a monument to Wenger, look around you"
