Paralympics
Enjoying listening to this event on the radio. Team GB are performing magnificently.
Thought the pricing of entrance to watch these games, in comparison with the Olympics, is contradictory to whole Olympic movement. Apparently, its £2.50 compared to £80 for the Olympics.

Re: Paralympics
Maybe we should start a women's football thread as well? Just to be sure we tick all those PC boxes...
Re: Paralympics
Dangerous ground that, especially if photoshopping gets involved

1961? Computers were the size of a house and there were only three in the country! Mobile phones weren't the size of bricks, they were the implausible product of a scifi author's imagination.A11M11 wrote:They didn't have computers in those days and mobile phones were the size of bricks.

Re: Paralympics
I had a Paralympic experience last night.
I poured myself out of the pub door and suddenly realised that I needed a liquid poo.
It normally takes me two minutes to get home. I did it in half that time. I wasn't fully parylitic. But I feel there was some kind of empathy going on.

Re: Paralympics
Apparently Wilson thought Paralympics referred to those amazing men and women who turn up in green overalls at traffic accidents...
