NO EXCUSE FOR LEAVING EARLY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

NO EXCUSE FOR LEAVING EARLY

Post by northbankbren »

...END OF.

FUCKING DISGRACE THOSE WHO LEFT AT HALF TIME AND WITH 30 TO.

I HOPE YOUR ALL ASHAMED.

YOU SUPPORT YOUR TEAM TILL THE END.

IT WAS THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI FOR FUCK SAKE!!!!!

IT WAS THE SAME PEOPLE WHO STOPPED SINGING AT 1 NIL THAT LEFT EARLY.

I WAS IN BLOCK 99. AND IT WAS THOSE WHO STAYED TILL THE END THAT SUNG THE WHOLE GAME. THOSE THAT SHOW OUR TEAM SUPPORT EVEN DURING THE BAD TIMES.

FRANKY SUMED IT UP FOR ME

I thought overall our support during the game was brilliant as it has been at Grove, (I could be wrong) apart from everyone fucking off at half time... but everyone left kept singing...

Sadly, the attitude of supporting your team through thick and thin is dying out.

Successful clubs attract fans... and not all of them have gooner blood coarsing through their veins.

It shouldn't be as simple as turning over the tv channel when you don't like the film.... football fans are supposed to suffer. It's in our make up... it's part of the experience.

You're supposed to feel miserable and cold as the rain poors down on you and your soggy meat pie, whilst your team gets hammered. But you STILL TURN UP and stay till the end. It's an unwritten rule. Or at least, it is in my book.

Gutted about the result... disapppointed with the fans.

Yes sir! Between The Arsenal and the Dallas Cowboys the feeling I've gotten from them is like a girlfriend you know is cheating on you, but you still come back for more. I fuckin love that feeling 8)

I admit that I left earlier...I don't want to excuse myself, but I just couldn't stand with our performance. I feel hurt and gutted!! I travel every single home game from Bhm to Lon. I was at Old Trafford last week. These two games against ManU were the worst I have seen in the last few years. We never looked at we were going to score a goal. We were never in to the game at all. I wish they would us 10-0 when I left, so that the club or AW will reform the team. The team is just not good enough!!

Bring back the days of losing to Walsall, Rotherham, York City and Wrexham....and feeling the pain.....and staying to the bitter end...

As much as the defeats hurt....it makes for having the good times feel so much better...

I stayed to the bitter end last night......

SORRY BUT NO EXCUSE, WOULD YOU HAVE RUN BACK IN IF YOU HEARD WE'D SCORED....I BET YOU WOULD.

BIGGEST GAME AT THE NEW STADIUM SO FAR.

POOR SHOW BY YOU AND THE REST THAT LEFT EARLY. JUST LIKE MOST ON THE PITCH YOU LET THE SIDE DOWN TOO.

I know and I have never done that before. It's just too much. I just can't stand it mate. I still couldn't sleep till now. It's not because I don't give my support to my team when they are losing, but because some players didn't look like they care about the result, not to mention to score. Anyway I confess my mistake, should never do it again. Up the Arsenal :barscarf:
