Arsenal keeper David Raya opens up on Gunners mindset: The mood is great
Gunners goalkeeper David Raya has been speaking ahead of Arsenal's Champions League clash at Real Madrid
Arsenal keeper David Raya has revealed that the squad is in good spirits ahead of the club's biggest game of the season.
Mikel Arteta's side take a 3-0 lead to the Bernabeu for their second leg quarter-final clash, aiming to make the last four of the Champions League.
And despite Real's Jude Bellingham discussing hopes of a 'remontada', which means comeback in Spanish, with many seasoned observers of the La Liga giants predicting a sensational Bernabeu turnaround, the Gunners keeper was in bullish mood ahead of the tie.
“The mood is great…” said Raya, speaking at the Bernabeu on Tuesday evening: “We know how big a club Real Madrid is so it would be good to knock them out.”
Raya added: “The intention is to win the game…we come here to win the game...you want to play against the best if you want to win trophies…”
