Arsenal Women attacking midfielder Maddy Earl has joined Sheffield United on loan for the remainer of the season.

Earl spent the first half of 2023/24 on loan at fellow Championship side Bristol City, where she struggled for regular game time in a strong side.

The 18-year-old returned to Arsenal as scheduled in January and signed her first professional contract with the Gunners.

She is yet to make her first competitive appearance for Renee Slegers' side, but joins a Blades side 11th in the Championship, three points clear of bottom side Portsmouth.

Earl told Sheffield United's website: "I'm really looking forward to getting going. It's obviously a really important time of year, every game is worth points, and I can't wait to get started."
