Arsenal Women are aware of ticketing issues surrounding the Gunners' trip to face Everton in the Women's Super League, a number of travelling supporters have been prevented from watching Sunday’s game against Everton at Walton Hall Park.

On Tuesday, April 23, Everton contacted a number of fans to inform them that their tickets had been cancelled, as part of ticketing checks to investigate whether away supporters had purchased home tickets.

As part of the checks, Everton looked at accounts who had a “non-local” address, and those making their first purchase with the club.

However, this meant that neutral fans and some Everton supporters who lived further away from Merseyside also became victims of the ticket cancellations.

The Gooner Fanzine understands that Arsenal are aware of the ticketing issue, and are in contact with Everton. The official allocation of 250 travelling supporters remains unaffected.

Everton Women have also been approached for comment.
