Why is it Arsenal are always waiting for a player to return from injury?

You just couldn't make this shit up FFS! If Tierney does go we are truly more fucked than we already were.

Tierney should not allow this to deter him from leaving - he owes this manager nothing and if he rates him so lowly, then he should still push for a move to where he is wanted
Re: Welcome Jurrien Timber
On a personal level I am gutted cos Timber has been the standout purchase for us this summer and would have been a huge player for us this season
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery Jurrien

Sack the whole medical team.
Sorry this shit just happens too much at this club.
WTF is going on?.
I did wonder why Ten Haag didn't try harder for Timber, maybe he knew something?

I've never really understood this attitude, augster. I don't give a flying shit about any footballer and their career either side of them playing for Arsenal. It's always Arsenal first for me. We should use Tierney the same way we would any other player: get what we need from them and then fling them on the scrap heap when IT SUITS US. Fuck all these millionaire players and what's best for their careers.augie wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 8:40 pmOneBardGooner wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 7:31 pmYou just couldn't make this shit up FFS! One poster on here is suffering from some sort of self harm disorder. Must be related to Wenger.

I'm talking about from players point of view and not a fans point of view - I'm a huge Tierney fan as you know and would love him to be a star for us, but el basque clearly does not rate him and has (imo) totally disrespected him in pre=season (0 starts and 3 non left backs starting ahead of him). The point I am driving at is that last week several of us said that tierney should look to leave now, but I suspect that many of those will now have done a u turn cos of Timbers injury, but my point is why should that affect tierney's stance ? He wasnt wanted and needs to look after himself, but I suspect if he looks to go now much of our fanbase will turn against him and I think that would be very unfair. If Tierney was right back and a better right back (Timber) comes in ahead of him I would be on board with that - what we have though is a guy who will not rest until he has squeezed out every player that was here before he arrived, regardless of whether that hurts the team or not. 99% of the team my loyalty is only to the club, but on occasions like tierney and smith-rowe, I see players who have been badly treated and I want them to do well and to prosper even if it is for another club

| Jurrien Timber has sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The defender will undergo surgery in the coming days and will be out of action for a period of time.

I suppose we're improving slowly in that we're now signing players that are injured after half a game rather than those who are injured when we sign them.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 2:15 pm| Jurrien Timber has sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Re: Welcome Jurrien Timber
Invasive knee surgery is never good (I’ve had three on the same knee before I was 25, it’s shit). I just hope that access to the best specialists means that he won’t suffer recurring problems with the knee, following the injury AND the surgery.
Let’s hope that he doesn’t turn into another injury prone full-back, from now on.
