Usual thread starter… Touch of class about Gilberto’s way with the Fulham youngsters. In a funny sort of way though, that is probably why Wenger did not go with him as skipper. Maybe just a bit too nice for his own good. Think a bit of steel has returned to the side with Gallas as leader and the Flanimal not taking any nonsense and often creating it! Gilberto’s behaved with dignity throughout his spell on the bench, although I’ll always wonder about that Carling Cup game (Bramall Lane?) when Fabianski led the team out. Strange one.
