Blackpool footy thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

almunia's a *word censored* and will never play for the club again 1000pts
Wenger stumps the backers of the spread by introducing a previously unheard of 'maintain intensity'

So official m/u = 0

on responding to Champions League and FA Cup disappointments…
We went through a period of grief and then we had to stand up and show we had the mental strength to respond. The team has done that remarkably well.

Good win, a tough place to go. Was impressed with a few players. I don't care how we play as long as we get three points.

3 points is 3 points. Black pool caused us loads of problems which is worrying and with Koscielny doing his usual suicide defending we could easily have lost. Great to get three points but play like that against Stoke, Spuds and Moan Ure and we'll lose all 3.

God I love an optimist!!

All the old problems were there today and better teams will punish us as usual.

* Suicidal defending (Koscielny, Clichy)
* Awful chance conversion rate
* Letting a team back in to the game when 1 or 2 up

We beat the team with the worst defence in the universe 3-1 and some people think all's rosy in the garden.

Plus we won. How many times have United been awful this year and got a lucky victory?

Would you have wanted us to not win?

Just got back.

Thank you to virgin for making me stand all the way home AGAIN!!

After paying for a rip off ticket and going to the futile trouble of reserving a seat, the bastards cancelled all reservations :banghead:

The game was the usual stuff of us outclassing opposition that give us the room to work the tiki-taka magic. The amount of room RvP was being given in the fast half bordered on school boyish.....for all that though the goals were down to a bit of brilliance by two of our weakest links. :shock:
Diaby even gets an honourable mention for our 3rd goal

Blackpool in the 2nd half deserved something from the game and I sincerely hope they stay up...preferably swapping places with B'ham. :twisted:

A win's a win but we are going to scrape over the line limply again in 3rd/4th. The clearout and buy-ins can't come quickly enough. :roll:

Walking along the promenade to B'pool Stn, am I the only one that thought Blackpool was My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding meets Benidorm :oops: :lol:
